End of 2011

I'm not sure I have any business having a dad-gum blog!! I've been terribly neglectful with it this past year. Shoot, several years ago I didn't even know what a blog was...and now I have one?! Got on here a little bit ago and was super surprised to discover I have followers!! I was kinda poking around trying to figure out how to 'follow' them in return and what did I do...started 'following' myself!! I know, I know that's hysterical, right?! Well even more hilarious is how long it took to 'unfollow' myself!!!
I think I've blundered around long enough for one post. To those that have been kind enough to follow me and post comments, thanks and I promise to try to be a more responsible blogger in the coming year.  ;-)
My first HAED-BAP seems to have turned into my HAED-BAPUFO, but I'm not deterred I plan to make a new start in the new year. That said, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and the happiest 2012!

Spring is coming...

Spring is just around the corner. Yesterday when I was out with the dogs I noticed new grass here and there. And we already have the tiny ground hugging wildflowers with their amazing fragrance that perfumes the air around them. I have no idea what they are called, very small and short, they start out a shade of blue then lighten and change to a pinkish color. One would never believe the scent is coming from these tiny little flowers! They are so small they are easily overlooked. In fact, I never used to notice them at all, I smelled them for a long time trying to figure out where the scent was coming from since we had no flowers and it was too far to smell any neighbor's garden. I don't even remember now how I discovered the scent was coming from this little inconspicuous bloom. Maybe I'll try to get a photo to post...

Hot today!

Wheew, got up to 81 degrees here in our area of Texas today! Had to turn on the ceiling fans yesterday, still on full force!
Need to get back to my BAP HAED project. Had too much going on to stitch lately. Got some great new charts in the HAED Valentin'es sale. Yay!!

Happy Valentine's Day!! BIG sale at Heaven and Earth Designs for everyone that loves counted cross stitch!  They have the most wonderful charts!
I'm still figuring this blogging thing out... I don't anything about blog etiquette...would that be blogtiquette??? Is there such a thing?

It was beautiful today in our area of Texas! Almost like Spring. Some of the grandkids flew their kites today. It was certainly windy enough.

I finally got started on my first HAED chart! I'm stitching Just the Right Moment by Bob Byerley. This chart reminds me of one of my sons when he was small. This kid has that mischievous look in his eyes!
